Hi, I’m Jodie Taylor – the photographer behind Fleurting with Light.
After many years of enjoying travel photography, I found myself shooting art/fashion nudes in a studio setting and I absolutely love being here!
The sound of that shutter gets my heart racing and the fun flowing. What I really enjoy is creating and styling concepts for the female form using flowers, fabrics, textures and props.
My style is playful and a little daring, therefore very much encouraging my models to join me in “Fleurting with Light”.

Creating a comfortable and creative experience
No, you don’t need modelling experience, but you do need a sense of fun and a willingness to become a Fleurt! Perhaps start doing a little stretching for the couple of weeks leading up to the shoot so you are comfortable in your body and able to pose more easily.
It is a nude photoshoot so it is best if you are fully nude so we can shoot freely. However, you can choose to show as much or as little of your body as you feel comfortable with as you can choose concepts that you can wrap yourself in apart from just light. We can use props, fabric and flowers as well as poses where we can shoot in an implied nude manner. I will not be shooting while you are changing positions so there will be no opportunity for inappropriate photos to be taken.
You need to bring a robe so whilst we are working out shots, poses and lighting you can be covered. Bring make up to do touch ups and hairpins and elastics so you can put your hair up if necessary if we change looks. You also need to bring water and snacks.
Yes, you do need to arrive at the studio ready to shoot with your hair and make up done. Remember, less is more and you can touch up as necessary while we are shooting.
I always shoot with a studio technician, James, who is also the owner of the studio. I have now booked in excess of 25 shoots with James and he is very professional, respectful and a wonderful light artist. You are welcome to bring a friend if this would make you feel more comfortable.
If you would feel more comfortable bringing a friend, then please do so. They are more than welcome to be present in the studio, however, there is no separate waiting area so if they are in the studio they will be able to see you at all times. If you are happy with this then so am I.
If you need help with posing I will definitely help you, however, it will also be helpful if you come with a couple of poses in mind that you have already tried at home.
Please wear loose clothing and loose-fitting underwear. We don’t want marks on your body from underwear, jeans or socks etc.
